. The Beginning of Senior Year
Thank god this is my last year at the high school can’t wait to graduate, make my dad proud, and prove my older brother wrong. I can’t wait to see his reaction when they call my name at the ceremony. I know it’s too early to be sure that I’m going to graduate, but that is my main goal, my golden star this year. I know it’s only the beginning of senior year, it has only been about a month, but so far it’s alright. I kind of like my classes so far and the new schedule this year, but all together, it's okay. This year is my sister’s and my little niece’s first year here at Lindsay High School and next year will be my little brother's first year at LHS. Currently, I’m behind pace in one or two classes that I did not pass last year or the year before that. I am not quite sure exactly which year it was. I’m not on pace, for many reasons but some are because I’ve goofed off, did not pay attention in my class, nor did I listen to the learning facilitator. Another reason was because my dad had a accident last year, and when he got home from the hospital its been hard. I had to find a job to help my dad pay the bills and rent, stayed up late doing some work for some classes, also stayed up late because of work, to tired or sleepy for school. What I regret most is turning in my work late and sometimes two months later after it was supposed to be turned in, I procrastinated a lot during my Freshmen, Sophomore and Junior year, and now it is affecting me badly because now I need to catch up and set an example for my sister, my niece, and my little brother to stay on pace and not fall behind. At the moment I don’t know what to do for my senior project, in fact I don’t know how to start it, this whole senior project is giving me a lot of pressure. I’m not sure if my senior project is going to be interesting or exciting at all. If it helps me get a step closer to graduation, fantastic. What Am I expecting from this year? Well, I am not really expecting anything. I just hope it will be fun, exciting, and hopely get caught up in my classes and finish my high school requirements before graduation. This year I’ve set some goals for myself, some of these goals are: to finish classes that I’ve did not pass, to be ahead pace or on pace in all of my classes that I have this year, and my golden goal my golden star is to graduate from Lindsay High School and walk in the ceremony to show my dad, my older brother, sister, niece, and all the other people that thought that I couldn’t graduate. Prove to all my family, friends, and people that know me that I could graduate. Also to prove that, no matter what goes on in life, no matter how many times people criticize you, the best revenge is to prove them wrong.
